Coastal Engineering Sub Division, Krishnarajasagara is one of the sub divisions functioning under the Coastal Engineering Division, which is headed by Research officer, this Sub-Division is based at krishnarajasagara. The mail objective of this branch is to provide site specific designs along with the model study for the permanent sea wall, which will be constructed by the port and fisheries department authorities of Karnataka.

• Coastal Engineering Division has capable of carrying out the research activities and data collection pertaining to the coastal region of Karnataka.
• Can take up the Pre and Post Dredging survey operations at the ports including calculation the dredging volume preparation of 3D- Bathymetric maps.
• Beach Profile Survey data comparison for the assessing the beach contour movement, sand volume estimates and average beach profile line establishment.
