DIRECTORS MESSAGE


The Karnataka Engineering Research Station has housed a group of 4 Chief Research officers, 19 Research officers, 62 Assistant Research officers, 19 junior research officers along with the supporting staffs. The Research Station is dedicated towards providing the research and development inputs to the activities of the civil engineering fields like Hydraulic Model Studies, Sedimentation Surveys, Water Quality Analysis, Dam Safety, Coastal Engineering, Soil mechanics & Foundation Engineering, GIS. The activities of this Research Station are expanded towards investigations, testing and quality control along with Research and Development. It encompasses the services to Government of Karnataka, public and private sector bodies in the above disciplines of civil engineering.

KERS also, provides trainings for capacity building of in-service engineers and administrative staffs of the state owned department through Engineering Staff College (ESC) which has its own infrastructure for providing the training along with the residential amenities.

Mr. T.N.Chikkarayappa holds bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, from Bangalore University. Joined Public service in the year 1987 as Assistant Engineer, has 30 years of experience in public service, throughout his journey in the public service he has served at different capacities of various departments coming under Government of Karnataka. Key roles includes

  • Chief Engineer, Major Roads BBMP, Bengaluru
